High Ed Web Thoughts #heweb08

Now that I am back from High Ed Web here are a couple of top level thoughts from the conference.

1. Attending a conference where twitter was so prevelent and used was really interesting and made for another dimension during the presentations. It was also fun to watch the debate and twitter on Tues night.

2. I really appreciated watching Jeffrey Veen – Founding partner of Adaptive Path and project lead for Measure Map, the well-received web analytics tool recently acquired by Google. His presentation was outstanding but more impressive was his seamless style.

3. Springfield is small and not a lot of places are open to eat on Sunday night.

Most of all I am looking forward to seeing some presentations by people I have not seen before and hoping to get some new fresh ideas.

High Ed Web Conference

If you are starting to make plans for the fall conference season one to consider is High Ed Web. It is being held in Springfield Missouri this year and is a good conference with lots of good content. The dates are October 5-8 and I believe that registration is now open.

The highlight will of course be a poster presentation by yours truly:
