Educause Conference

October 29, 2008

I am currently in Orlando, Florida at my first Educause conference. Educause is the IT professional development organization and there are 4,000 IT professionals here in Orlando. I am actually taken back by the size and scope of the confernece and have found it to be interesting thus far. I attended a session on research about IT leadership earlier today. I also had a chance to walk through the large vendor hall and present our poster presentation on “What does a web enterprise services strategy entail?”

Tomorrow I have a few demos to attend and a few other sessions on the agenda… Till then

More shameless promotion but hey it is my blog right….

Steve Lewis – Director of Data Systems at Gettysburg College and I will be presenting a poster at the National Educause conference in Orlando Florida this October.

“What Does a Web Enterprise Services Strategy Entail?”

I have never been to the conference so I am excited to go (of course the warm weather climate does not hurt.) I am also excited to be traveling with some of my IT colleagues – it’s often a chance to develop relationships with those on your own campus. If you are coming – stop by and see us.
